NotiSave is a privacy-first notification history app built by Naveen Goyal (NaveenCodes).
In short: NotiSave reads notification content only after you manually enable Android Notification Access. Your notification history is stored locally on your device — it is never uploaded to our servers. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
Data the app can access
When you enable Notification Access, the app can read the notifications that appear on your phone. This may include:
- Notification title and message content shown on your phone
- App name and package name of the app that posted the notification
- Notification timestamp and metadata needed to organise history
- OTP codes detected from notifications, for local convenience features
- Notes, tags, favourites, folders, and settings that you create inside the app
Why the app accesses this data
The app uses Android's NotificationListenerService only to provide its core functionality:
- Save notification history locally on your device
- Search past notifications by app, title, message, or OTP
- Pin or save important notifications
- Block selected apps from being saved in future
- Open the source app when possible after tapping a saved notification
- Export history only when you explicitly choose to export it
How data is stored
- Notification history is stored locally in the app on your device.
- The app is designed to work without a backend server for notification storage.
- This build does not transmit notification content to our servers.
- The app does not sell, rent, or share notification content with advertisers or data brokers.
What the app does not do
- No account sign-up is required
- No notification content is uploaded for profiling or advertising
- No third-party advertising or analytics SDKs are used
- No cloud sync is enabled in this Play-ready build
Your controls
- You decide whether to grant Notification Access
- You can disable capture inside the app and revoke Android Notification Access anytime
- You can delete individual notifications or clear all saved history
- You can block selected apps from future capture
- You can export data only when you explicitly start an export action
Retention & deletion
- You can manually remove saved items at any time
- You can clear all notification history from inside the app
- You can enable automatic cleanup rules for old notifications and OTP entries
- Uninstalling the app removes its local app data, per normal Android behaviour
Exports & shares
If you export or share a file, that action happens only after you choose it. Exported files are written to the location or app you select. Those transfers are initiated by you, not automatically by the app.
Security practices
- The app keeps notification history on-device in this build
- An optional PIN lock can reduce casual access on a shared device
- Notification previews can be hidden inside the app for extra privacy
Children
This app is not designed for or directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If the app later adds network sync, analytics, ads, crash-reporting SDKs, or remote APIs, this policy will be updated before that version is published, with a new "Last updated" date.
